Calling all aspiring startup founders: Hear from industry leaders on entrepreneurship
The Talent @ SWITCH Entrepreneurship Exposure Series (EES) consists of five bi-weekly industry-led knowledge sessions on the global startup ecosystem for aspiring startup founders and youths, happening from August to October. The series is organised by SWITCH and in partnership with National Youth Council (NYC) and *SCAPE.
Deep dive into the startup and innovation ecosystems from the lens of different stakeholders speaking and mentoring at our series - Singaporean and International entrepreneurs, investors, government and corporate players.
The Talent @ SWITCH EES also has two complementary programmes - the Talent @ SWITCH Mentorship Programme and Talent @ SWITCH Youth Challenge. As part of EES, the former allows youths to get mentored by an experienced professional to gain one-to-one guidance on developing career-related skills as well as industry knowledge from their mentor, while the Youth Challenge provides youths with the opportunity to acquire valuable experience in solving real-world challenges issued by organisations.

Session 1: Understand the global startup ecosystem

Synopsis: Hear from the regulators and corporates on how different initiatives and frameworks are pivotal in enabling innovation and entrepreneurship in the ecosystem.

Get into the minds of investors to find out what they look for in startups and the winning formula.
Synopsis: What are the unmissable boxes that different kinds of investors will check before deciding to invest in a startup? Acquire knowledge and tips from investors on what determines the success of different growth stages and milestones of a startup - from concept and product development to market validation and getting your startup idea funded.

Session 3: Learn about startup success in Singapore!

What makes the success of Singaporean startups? Gain exclusive access to knowledge on launching a startup from prominent local founders.
Synopsis: Learn the ropes of launching a startup from Singaporean founders who have treaded the path on what worked and did not work for them in their startup development journey - be it coming up with a good business idea or getting market validation and scaling their idea.

Session 4: Learn the tips to expanding beyond Singapore’s shores!

How is it like to launch a startup overseas? Get deep insights from international startups on the differences of Singapore’s startup ecosystem compared to other countries.
Synopsis: Find out from international startup founders on how a particular city’s startup ecosystem differs from another, such as in terms of the support network and intermediaries it offers. This will determine the startups’ access and cost to network building with other stakeholders.

Session 5: Entrepreneurship redefined at work

Why having an intrapreneurial spirit is important for your career and how you can cultivate one.
Synopsis: Organisations are increasingly developing their employees to be intrapreneurs - corporate entrepreneurs with a startup mindset who can challenge the company’s way of thinking and create new kinds of value through innovation and unique business models. Learn all about how you can work your way to becoming an intrapreneur in this concluding session.

You will have the opportunity to apply for the Entrepreneurship Exposure Series (EES), as well as its complementary programmes - the Mentorship Programme and/or Youth Challenge - in the same EES registration form.

What is involved?
Participants of the Entrepreneurship Exposure Series (EES) are required to:

- Provide feedback to the organisers about the programme.
