The journey so far
SLINGSHOT is in its 6th edition this year and has received over 3,600 applications from more than 150 countries by 31 July 2022. After two rounds of virtual judging, we were pleased to have our Top 50 finalists here with us in Singapore selected by more than 200 international judges. They have gone through a 3.5-day physical immersion programme (from 19 to 22 Oct) specially curated for them which aimed to link them up with local ecosystem partners through face-to-face engagements.
These startups were introduced to potential investors and corporate partners with whom they may be able to co-pilot a project with. Startups were also introduced to business-specific offerings and the Singapore landscape as a whole to understand the viability of setting up shop in Singapore. They then proceeded to pitch LIVE to a global audience at Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore to vie for the Grand Winner of SLINGSHOT 2022 and won up to S$1.2M (US$800,000) worth of grant prizes. SLINGSHOT was held at SWITCH, Singapore Week of Innovation & Technology.
